Elvis Presley
Blue Vinyl edition
On Stage (subtitled February 1970) is Elvis’ second live album, recorded in his famous Vegas period on two dates in 1969 and 1970.
Unlike his previous live album, this record featured songs that were not typically associated with Presley’s regular live repertoire in favour of covers to show his ever-dedicated audience that he was very much staying abreast with current music.
In this case we’re talking renditions of Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline”, Del Shannon’s “Runaway”, Tony Joe White’s “Polk Salad Annie”, and the Beatles’ “Yesterday”. But it’s the Elvis staple “The Wonder Of You” which earned him a #1 hit in the UK. Fun fact: the album is also known for not showing Elvis’ name anywhere on the cover.
On Stage (February 1970) is available as a limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on blue coloured vinyl and includes a printed inner sleeve and 60x60cm fold-out poster.
