It is the eighth CD by The Aardvark Jazz Orchestra on Leo Records. Now in it's 43rd season, it is one of the longest continuously operating jazz orchestra in the world. Being a live recording, the selection of the pieces conjures up sonic images raging from frenetic to lyrical, turbulent to elegiac, and monumental to meditative. One piece "Spaceways" is inspired and dedicated to Sun Ra, a major influence on the band for many decades.
