There Was A Time

The Dukays

One of the founding fathers of Chicago soul, Gene Chandler recorded for almost every label of note in the City, and made great records wherever he went.

The best is his frenetic version of James Brown's 'There Was A Time', which is the title track of this magnificent album.

A Hit making Producer, this is his 1968 album reissued by Demon Music on 180g heavyweight vinyl with printed inner sleeve and original artwork.
