The Unknown Richard Strauss

Rare and much-sought works by Richard Strauss, in which all the repertoire originates from the prize-winning series 'Der unbekannte Strauss' originally released on the Koch label. These recordings have long been deleted and are now available as a single edition. This release also includes the famous play 'Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme' with Peter Ustinov and the popular 'Rosenkavalier' waltzes, conducted by the dedicated Straussian Karl Anton Rickenbacher. They are performed by orchestras closely related to Strauss.
