Piero Bassini

Intensity Piero Bassini

If “Nostalgia” best represents the way Bassini feels and reworks various currents of African American music while remaining in the groove of his tradition, “Intensity” instead showcases its more sophisticated and experimental side. It is a cubist sound painting, a path of rethinking jazz through the filter of Bassini's personal and researched style, which passes through the mediation of 20th-century cultured music, resulting in a 'modern creative' variant of African American music.
