In the Line of Duty

Steven C. Miller directs this American action thriller starring Aaron Eckhart. When police officer Frank Penny (Eckhart) corners an armed suspect he has no alternative but to shoot him.

However, he unknowingly kills the only lead in the search for a kidnapped girl, who also happens to be his superior, Chief Volk (Giancarlo Esposito)'s daughter. In an attempt make amends Penny disobeys official orders and goes rogue as he does all he can to find the missing girl. However, his efforts attract the attention of young journalist Ava Brooks (Courtney Eaton) who insists on following him and live-recording his every move.
