Another investigation for Victorian detective Joseph Bell (Ian Richardson). This time the admirable Dr Bell and his able companion Arthur Conan Doyle journey into the twilight world of seances and spiritualists as they attempt to discover how a number of corpses recently ended up in the Thames. Eager to get to the bottom of this perplexing case, Bell and Holmes delve into the strange cult which holds much of London in its unrelenting grip, and in doing so put themselves in much personal danger.
