Joakim Berg | Framtiden Som Aldrig Blev Av

Set for release on 29 May 2026, Framtiden som aldrig blev av is the second solo album from Swedish songwriter and former Kent frontman Joakim Berg. The record arrives several years after his solo debut Jag fortsätter glömma (2022), which debuted at No. 1 on the Swedish album chart, and follows a period of renewed activity after Kent briefly reunited for a series of sold-out arena concerts in Stockholm.

Much of the material on Framtiden som aldrig blev av was written during the spring and autumn of 2025, a period Berg has described as marked by a renewed urge to write and move forward creatively once the whirlwind surrounding the reunion shows had settled. Where his first solo album looked backwards—reflecting on formative memories and the experiences that shaped him—the new songs are rooted firmly in the present.

As with much of his solo work, Berg has taken an all-encompassing role in the creation of the album, writing, arranging, recording and producing the material himself.
