It has been four months since the Guardians laid siege to the Serpent Corps mansion. Since then, Ronen Haven has trained endlessly for his next battle with their leader. With his organization weakened and his second in command defeated, however, Maxwell Serpente has retreated into hiding with his disciples. In an effort to uncover his whereabouts and formulate a strategy to deal with the rest of the Serpent Corps, the Oregon Guardians travel to Egypt to meet with the Guardian Agents World Council.
