Katie McDonald has lost both of her parents. Her mom's husband died before Katie was born and her mother recently succumbed to breast cancer. On her death bed, Lindsay, Katie's mother, revealed that her husband was not Katie's birth father and left clues for her to find her real birth father. Katie embarked on a search for him and found him in Dallas, Texas, divorced but with a close girlfriend. 'Finding My Father' is the story of Katie's new life with her birth father and his new wife. It is also the story of her adopted sister who becomes a part of their family, and the new outlet for her dancing, and her love of horses. Together they are able to face and overcome the trials and tribulations that arise in their lives.
