In the Seer Series, a manmade virus reduces the population of the world by eighty percent. As one civilization collapses, Dr. Michael Macalister and a band of colleagues seek to start a new one, learning to survive and defend themselves. The series covers three generations of Macalisters for over fifty years. Books One - Three are published. Tribes, Book Four in the series, picks up about a year after the end of Book Three. Mica and Trina have a child, bringing their adopted son, Martin, to extreme jealousy, anger and the start of secretive and bad behavior. Michael and Yvonne contemplate how to keep Billsville alive and growing. Two twin-engine, fuel cell planes are acquired, the second one the spoils of a horrific battle with another colony that ends with heavy losses for Mica's group, but keeps the fight away from Berk Shire. Taking one of the planes on a mercy-mission to Santa Fe ends disastrously, stranding Mica, Trina, Bobby Ray and their pilot. Their only hope of getting back to Berk Shire means going on a long and extremely dangerous journey on horseback.
