Almost fifteen-year-old Suzi St. Claire liked her life just the way it was. As the only offspring of a famous French chef and his sweet, compliant wife, Suzi spent her time between her father's upscale New York loft and her mother's comfortable condo in an affluent part of Philadelphia. She attended an exclusive private school where she reveled in her status as one of the most popular girls in her class. Then, on New Year's Eve, her perfectly normal life took a tragic turn and everything changed. Her surroundings, her home life, even her schooling-nothing was or would ever be the same. Suzi is surprised to discover that "normal" looks very different to different people; everyone has hopes and dreams, sorrows and tragedies, successes and failures. She begins to embrace her new normal, and even embarks on a life of trusting in Jesus Christ. Then the biggest obstacle she had ever encountered threatens to destroy the lives of everyone she loves.
