Coyote Captive

A ruined wedding, a startling revelation, and a quest to seek vengeance. Blaine had spent her whole life believing that she is a monster. She's hidden and run away from her past, concealing her unique abilities from everyone around her, including her closest friend and even her fiancé. Then on the very day that she has planned to start over and make a new life, her wedding is attacked by a group of vicious coyotes; not just any coyotes, but coyotes that can shift back into semi-human form and posses magic wielding powers, just like her. In the midst of the attack Blaine learns a startling secret about her best friend- that she is also a shifter and that she knew the truth about Blaine the whole time- right before Blaine's best friend is kidnapped and carried off to a different world, the world that it turns out Blaine is also part of. Blaine is determined to get her friend back, and so she travels to the Otherworld where she meets the family she never knew she had and discovers that she is a changeling, a shifter member of the race of people called folk, switched out for a human child at birth. Grappling with the truth about who she really is, Blaine sets off to go after her friend's kidnappers and in an attempt to ransom her back captures an enemy coyote; a male who seems just as determined to resist her as she is to break him. Though he fights her every step of the way, Blaine is dead set on getting answers out of Aries, even if it kills him. Blaine will stop at nothing to get her friend back, but her friend's freedom depends on her captive, and Blaine is finding it harder and harder to resist the strange connection she has to Aries. Blaine must fight her own temptation, and as her journey takes her deep into this new magical world, she must debate what it is she wants most, who she is, who Aries is, and most importantly; what he might mean to her and the safety of her closest friend.
