When the world ceases to exist, the old rules no longer apply, and human beings are left to their own devices. Not a pretty sight. Because hunger, thirst, and disease take on a whole new meaning. I used to believe I was strong and smart enough to overcome any ordeal life might throw at me. The end of my familiar universe showed me differently. People have changed, and I must hide from them if I hope to survive. Yet they aren't my main concern. Someone else is out there. Someone dangerous, twisted, and relentless enough to destroy me.
