Hebrews commentary
Daniel Pollard
The Bible contains 66 books, each one unique but each one intertwined with all the others. While the Old Testament focuses on the nation of Israel and their worship, the New Testament focuses on the church and Christianity. The book of Hebrews looks back at many Old Testament references to show how the New Testament fulfills God's promises, especially the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ the Son of God. It's a very unique book with no author or audience given. It seems obvious why God directed the writer not to mention his name or to whom it was written when we understand why it was written. As we go through the book, the answer becomes more and more clear. It has a special message for a special people. It's my desire that many readers will develop a greater love and understanding for the book of Hebrews and for the people to whom it is written.
