DD8712 is my actual prisoner ID number. In prison, you're either a name or a number. This book will prove that I am so much more than that. So Much more. DD8712 is a glimpse into my life, which I reveal to you through poetry. I've always had a poetic soul, but traditional poetry didn't relate to me and/or my personal struggles. I almost felt as if you needed to be a rocket-scientist, in order to understand traditional poetry. Pain is universal, and the world is filled with pain. Therefore, I write the poems that people can feel and understand. I write from my soul, and my aim is to connect with the souls of others. I've also added a new twist to the world of poetry. I've added a song and artist to nearly all of these (96) poems. If for some reason you don't quite grasp the poem, the song will bring it full-circle for you.
