This book examines the story of 'Adam and Eve' in detail, based on the real meaning of the Biblical Hebrew, itself a language of symbols, and uncovers an understanding about ourselves as individuals obscured by the popular telling. This understanding comes first from what is there to be found in the actual text, but not seen because of errors of translation and lack of comprehension of Biblical Hebrew in its deeper meaning; and second, in piercing the veil of what has largely been claimed to be in the record, but not supported by a careful reading of the relevant passages. Genesis states that ADM was created 'male and female', a being of polaric unity. ADM is not an individual being, and then generally seen as male, but an archetype for a type of man, both male, and female. Genesis also has no mention of an 'Eve' until just before the "expulsion" from the Garden of Eden.
