This book is about telomere and its biology. Telomere is end part of DNA but it is not least, it is equally important to maintain function of cell. Telomeres are the necessary part of human cells that affect how our cells age. The ends of chromosomes are formed by telomeres-special chromatin structures that are essential to protect these regions from recombination and degradation activities. Defects in telomere length have been implicated in the pathology of several age-related diseases and premature aging syndromes, as well as in cancer.
