This title discusses the development of a range of drug loaded polymer based monolithic matrices for controlled oral drug delivery using conventional and unconconventional polymer processing equipment. The effect of novel filler materials on the developed monolithic matrices produced from hot melt extrusion is also discussed, as is the use of supercritical carbon dioxide as a novel extrusion processing aid.
