Ever since setting this goal in the preface to Volume 1 (1981), the Büchner Yearbook has been striving to achieve its aim in all of its regularly published sections (Essays - Debates - Short Contributions and Commentaries - Documents and Materials). With 100 contributions from 14 countries, wide acclaim not only from experts and, last but by no means least, the development of Büchner-related research as such, the Büchner Yearbook has turned out a great success.
