Rough Diamond
Derek Hanebury
Forced to deal with the fallout from his disabled brother-in-law Cassius's eviction for striking a woman with his cane, the narrator of this story provides a wry portrait of the character behind the crime. At times darkly comical and at other times tenderly poignant, "Rough Diamond" paints a portrait of the human ego at war with itself as it fluctuates between heady delusions of grandeur and painful blasts of self-contempt.
Derek Haneubury is back with his first book in over a decade.
