Rod's childhood was filled with constant abandonment by multiple fathers. Throughout his life he searched for a father to fill the deep void in his life. With each new dad came new hope. But with each one, came intense pain and deeper scars, leading to profound insecurities and lack of trust. It was during his high school years he met someone who would forever change his life. What he hadn't realized until then was that in his search for a father, Rod would discover there was one searching for him. Through the course of this relationship he gained the boldness and courage to move from living a life of abandonment to one of living abandoned.
