In the period between the two World Wars, thousands of Jews leave Europe in pursuit of a New World.

Leib and Haim, two ambitious young men, decide to settle in destitute South America.

Despite the rising poverty, thanks to ambition and hard work, the two friends are able to prosper and build their fortunes while preserving their Jewish tradition.

But as the years go by, generations change, and with them the sense of mission to guard the legacy that is gradually beginning to show cracks.

Will their Jewish roots and identity survive or will they be vanquished by their aspirations for social belonging?
