Blackthorne FC were on the way out. They had no more money to pay the bills, and had lost just about everything. Points had been deducted from their tally and they were relegated to League 2. With only 15 registered players and abandoned by their chairman, they were heading to the High Court. Out of nowhere an American lottery winner steps in to save the club. He sets right to work trying to revitalise a football club everyone tells him is finished. Adding a radio and television station to his purchases, the new chairman Robert tries to breathe life into the club and community. With a bare-bones staff, a well-endowed weather girl, and a football hating news presenter, can Robert turn around the fortunes of Blackthorne FC ? Along with a 19 year old assistant, a tiny office staff and at least one player signed straight from a prison term, he'll do his best.
