Life Begins at Ninety
Ronald Bell
In this irreverent, entertaining and thought-provoking memoir, Ronald Bell recounts episodes from his childhood, his time in the Royal Navy and his working life in artist and repertoire, or A&R (working with artists as diverse as Bing Crosby, Dizzy Gillespie, Connie Francis, Ike and Tina Turner, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Crystal Gayle), interspersed with jokes, poems and passages discussing the changes in politics and society that have occurred during his lifetime. Covering a wide range of subjects, Life Begins at Ninety is enjoyable and witty, a celebration of a life well lived.
