Marsali is Gaelic for Marjory, I believe, said Arni. That is a lovely name, and the first time I have encountered it in the flesh. A chance meeting on the ferry from Ardrossan to the Isle of Arran sets the scene for a star-crossed romance ranging across the wild waters and mountains of Scotland. Recently single, handsome Arni Comyn is learning to balance his loss with his work as an IT specialist and looking after his young daughter, Lisbet. Though his home is a warm haven of friends and family, an emptiness lingers. But a glimmer of hope rests with tall, blonde career woman, Marsali. Instantly attracted, Arni is aware not all is well with his new girlfriend; her reticence is strangely at odds the warmth of her being. It seems his words have an ominous ring for the fair Marsali.
