You would not know that Madison and her brother Blake are on the same family vacation. Fourteen year old Madison resents the lack of technology on this primitive trip which takes place the month before she starts high school. Blake thinks a month of being a cave man is heaven on earth. The parents, who have planned and sacrificed for years for this, are thrilled to get away from their hectic urban lives. Except when Madison makes it clear that bird watching, fishing and hiking for a whole month is not her idea of a good time. Madison is sure it couldn't get any worse. She is so wrong.
