The Letter to the Romans is generally considered to be the summit of Paul's works. Yet in this short introduction to the writing, Revd Huggett challenges that assumption and demonstrates that the book is not a letter at all, but a collection of early sermons, that it is not by Paul, but by other Christians from the Roman congregation, and that it does not teach justification by faith, as Paul himself does, but rather justification by fulfilling the Law of Moses in spirit, rather than in the letter, enabled by belief in Christianity and the miraculous power of holy spirit.
