Closing down her café and leaving her remote Alaskan cabin, complete with her fur baby, to a friend for the winter, Lisa heads South with a focus of palm trees and coconuts. Even though the path is far from straight, her ultimate goal of life on the high seas is fulfilled; and she ends up learning all about intimate living spaces with newly met acquaintances for long periods of time. Follow along as she encounters romance, new friendships, illegal border crossings, disgruntled captains, and gut-wrenching seasickness, along with a myriad of spectacular magical moments. Sometimes joyfully comical, with sides of loneliness and introspection, Alaska to Cuba and Back shows us what travelers have known all along: it's not the destination but the journey itself that is the entire point.
