I, Betty B. Black was born June 4, 1941 in Lumberton NC to Minnie and Joseph Brown. Being brought up in the church, I loved Sunday school, and my Sunday school teachers. I was raised in a small town called Red Springs, NC in the black bottom. After my high school days, I graduated from Peterson High School in Red Springs, NC. I married James Black in 1960 and we had two children. James went home to be with the Lord October 30, 2017. We have six grandchildren, three great grands, and six Godchildren.
