Michael Ryan is a flawed man, feeling broken inside and outside. Losing his leg to a Bull shark years ago gave him the drive to learn more and understand their kind. Unfortunately, limb loss and phantom pains caused a downward spiral into pain pill addiction. Having used the last of his funds to take care of himself he's hoping on an olive branch from Discovery Channel. He and his crew will be featured in a one hour special, completely funded for them, on the hugely popular Shark Week. There's only one catch. He's got to take the rich benefactor's daughter on board. Dealing with himself, his pain, and recovery this is his only shot at redemption. Trying to play nice isn't easy for him but in the end he needs to stay focused, since he's trying to Find Fortitude.
