Nicholas after his Journal for Damned Lovers trilogy focuses on what it means to be lost, and what it means to be found, and how you can't have the latter without the former. Featuring a cast of cunning animals and the ghosts of past times tasked in bringing together two wandering souls, X and I: A Novel, tells of a romance written in the stars-one destined to be played out amidst a backdrop of wasted days, alienation, and the search for the meaning of life. A post-graduate of the University of Reading, England, S. K. Nicholas began his creative journey painting on bedsheets and curtains purchased from charity shops.
