Barbados 2050: Rising Tide is a science fiction short story that follows the main characters as they make a stand against climate change on the Caribbean island of Barbados.

When an unexpected message from the future is received by the world's first quantum computer, it confirms the scientific consensus that climate change is real and going to get much worse. Attempts are made to cover up the transmission but a young woman escapes with a copy and flees to Barbados to make an announcement to the world.

Time is running out for society to adapt and brace for the intensifying effects of a volatile environment. Even if they make the necessary changes, will it be enough to survive this harsh future?
