Upended Kathleen Cochran

Kathleen Cochran was born in Munich, Germany. At the age of one year she moved with her parents to Jacksonville, Florida, where she spent her childhood. She received a B. A. in English literature from Mt. Holyoke College, an M. S. in early childhood education from Bank Street College, and an Ed. M. from Teachers College, Columbia University. She was co-creator of the Peaceful Kids Early Childhood Conflict Resolution program at Teachers College. She is the author of A Community of Learners, published by Creative Response to Conflict. She has created print, video, and Web-based curriculum materials in language arts, social skills, health, and science. Her poetry has appeared in Subtropic and The Westchester Review. Upended is her first published book of poems.
