PALAAYANAM has the stories of personnel who work outside their hometown either abroad or in other states for a lifetime, shouldering all the responsibilities of their family. They set aside their wishes of living with their inmates in their hometown. However, due to the need for continuous support for their families, they are compelled to live away forever. At the end of their lives, they get carried in a coffin and are cremated in their native place without the fulfillment of their wishes.
