Although Lenard had a large extended family, they weren't as connected or as close as he wanted them to be. He loved his parents deeply, but they didn't emulate the marriage that he desired for him and his wife. One of the mottos he lives by is "if there was any life lesson to be learned; it's sometimes best to be taught by life itself."
