Yoga Master Jaya Frankel has a problem. She believes her decisions are always wrong. She tries hard not to make any, which would be fine if people didn't keep looking to her for help. When Miguel goes missing from his home in Lima, Peru, his sister persuades Jaya to try to find him. Jaya is in over her head and terrified as people around her are kidnapped, murdered and lost as a result of her bungling deeper and deeper into the mystery of Miguel's disappearance. The search rushes helter skelter from New York to India and into parts of Spain, attracting a shadowy menace. As danger closes in, the ticking of the clock grows louder. Grasping at straws, Jaya engages the only tools she's ever found helpful, Eastern philosophy and the principles of yoga, to try to connect the events, solve the mystery and save her own life.
