That Fall Morning is the story of how, suddenly, without warning, my life changed. Of how ultimately, then in my mid-forties, happily married, my career path accelerating, living the American dream, nearly every aspect of my life was harshly impacted. That for too long, following that one fall morning, I was forced to endure great physical pain and despair. The combination of both altering how I viewed myself, others, and life in general. Such physical ache and emotional disquietude once limiting what I was able to accomplish each day. I was miserable. That was until that seminal moment in my life; a moment when my life was rescued and reinvigorated, and a moment I continue to celebrate. Having lived each day since without the yoke of hopelessness around my neck. And it was then that I began acquiring and collecting the many insights I now impart in this book. Each gathered up and presented for your inspection and discernment. Hoping that by sharing my long journey with chronic pain, despair, and even grief, I can help others. Others just like myself, and all of whom I will always have great empathy for. Life is difficult enough without having to jointly deal with chronic pain and all its ancillary issues. It's an added burden no one deserves. One that is cruel and disruptive, capable of abruptly afflicting anyone, both young and old, male and female, rich and poor, and any skin color. But there is hope. My story is testament of that.
