The Bumper Book of Pantomimes
Patrick Prior
Pantomime is truly the People's Theatre. In this boisterous, magical, funny and joyous form we all recapture the lost wonder of our childhood. There are giants to be slain, villains to be vanquished and love to the found. In this collection of classic pantomimes we find Robin Hood swashbuckling for freedom; Mother Goose finding there's gold in them thar eggs; and Jack climbing that beanstalk for find fame, fortune and a nasty giant. In other plays we follow Little Red Riding Hood into the deep, dark woods. Dick Whittington seeks love and adventure with help of his cat, Tiddles, only to find rats and villains in his path to happiness. These scripts are from shows all performed by the world famous Theatre Royal, Stratford East. The perfect fare for theatre companies looking for a Christmas show.
