One year later: Ace, now in charge of her own Hero Unit, is faced with the rise of a new drug which gives normals access to powers. To complicate matters a new Anti shows up and starts torturing and killing Exceptionals. Ace's unit has to tackle both cases with almost no leads and few witnesses, while tensions between normals and Exceptionals are on the rise as demand for the new drug increases. Will they be able to find the answers they need before New Davenport erupts into chaos?
