The Incarnation Sterling Dean Davidson
The Incarnation
Sterling Dean Davidson
God has never really had a problem, but this book approaches the subject of the incarnation as if He did. The purpose for this is to give all of us who have finite minds a better picture of how God would have solved the need for man's redemption had He worked it out in the manner we are accustom to. The book considers the underlying message of God's love and His desire to meet every need of mankind. It is a contrast of Jehovah God and the many heathen gods surrounding Israel. This contrast is accomplished by studying out the process of God's revelation of Himself and His attributes by means of the various names He used to identify Himself. These compound names always incorporated the name of Jehovah with a secondary name, describing an attribute of His. The incarnation was a response by God to, no doubt, the greatest need of humanity... redemption, or as the name that is associated with this act reveals... salvation. God was faced with an impossible task that could only be resolved by this great act of incarnation. You will not only enjoy this book that commemorates the Christmas season, but hopefully gain some deeper insights to the first coming of our savior... Jesus Christ.
