Nothing is quite what it seems when a couple of visitors enter the Borderland from different directions. "The wind's from the south!" opens up worlds of possibility for the people of the small hamlet of Whisky Dog, the Whisky Dog Arms Hotel and its guests. Edges is not really a typical fantasy sequence: the six novels, of which Borderland is the first, explore strange realms, but also odd people, and peculiar ways of looking at the world; as well as quite ordinary people and their lives.
