Christmas a time To Love; A Time to Cry: is a story of an African American family that lived in the 1950's. It despites the hard times of families doing this era. It is a reflection of the struggle that families endured to help create a better life for their children by working hard and having faith in God. The theme is two-fold. It should remind readers of the progress that has been made for African Americans culturally; it should encourage continual faith and thanksgiving for the future of the next generation.
