Brad Staples just bought a small company, BrainTech, which has developed a method of recording and implanting a person's personality and memory into someone who is comatose and dying. The implant also causes the recipient to overcome the disease that was killing them. Several successes make big news. Through a clerical error, they implant the wrong recording into a dying pro football player. The recording was of the Vampire Killer, a serial killer turned into an elusive monster. The football player now, turned killer, travels and murders everywhere. No one has a clue as to his whereabouts. In a desperate measure, Brad has himself implanted with the Vampire Killer's memory. As a result, he has a better opportunity of catching the villain, but is he Brad or the Vampire Killer?
