When Lee Ann Thompson found an old letter she wrote to her grandpa at eight years old asking him to think of her as a son, it intrigued her. Why would a girl who grew up in a family that loved her just as much as her three brothers feel compelled to advise her grandpa so?



The answer she found led to this book. It examines how the historical and widespread violence and rejection of the feminine character, essence and influence have too often led women to undervalue themselves. This collection brings together diverse voices from the worlds of academia, business, economics, education, health, law and theology. It traces the feminine image across culture and faith so that it can be restored to its rightful place-in both women and men.
