Empowering Antoinette is a story of a woman's life journey that begins in violence and tragedy, causing her as a young girl to produce an alter personality as her only means of protection. The murder of her father leads her to the orphanage where she sets out on the long road toward recovery. As she matures, her type A personality reveals a young woman who excels in all aspects of her life except intimacy. Ultimately, she must face the truth of the past in order to fall in love with Julian, the man who has fallen madly in love with her.

An underlying theme of Empowering Antoinette is that there comes a time when we all must face the path that God has laid before us. A priest's questions about his faith, within the context of Antoinette's life circumstances, are brought to the surface, as is the meaning of family.
