Wheat is an epic five generational story that begins with one man's dream of building an empire of wheat and cattle. 17 year old Upton Rush leaves the blizzard plagued Ohio Valley for the newly formed Oklahoma Territory. The harsh elements, combined with lawless men, curtail his dream. Having passed the dream to his son, Harlin, and his grandson, Gavin, the dream lives on when Gavin falls in love with a girl named Teal whose passion for the land and its wheat grows an empire.
