Sometime After Midnight: a Collection Torrey Evangeline Stephens 1e uitgave

Sometime After Midnight is the second collection of fiction, prose, and poetry by Torrey Stephens. From a satirical glance at Prince Charming to a son's love for his dying father, these tales are thoughtful, provoking, funny, and scary. Ms. Stephens also rarely misses a chance to pay homage to her favorite baseball team, the Red Sox.

Sunday at Fenway carries the reader straight into the "Cathedral of the Gods," and A Beantown Tale replays the famous comeback against the rival New York Yankees through the structure of a Sestina. You will find influences from Douglas Adams, Alfred Hitchcock, Stephen King, and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow in the stories. The Curious Time of Cleotus Clay is one of Ms. Stephens' oldest pieces, dating from 1987. It tells the story of a travel guide writer who stumbles upon one of the most unusual pubs ever.

The twelve pieces inside are quite an eclectic blend. Take your time to savor each one. Let the stories carry you away.
