Fisher and Steben take off work and plan to party for a few days. No women. No responsibility. They stock the fridge with booze and food, turn on the video game console and lock the door. On the morning of the third day, they are awoken by an intruder and quickly left with no option but to fight for their lives. Forced to escape their homes, two unlikely companions and even unlikely friends: Steben, an army vet, and Fisher, a mailman, quickly realize countless people have disappeared and instantly replaced by violent, infected "human" beings. Anyone who survived the attack, has fled, leaving Fisher and Steben to war across the East Coast, in complete efforts to survive and ultimately, find the truth at the end of the world.
