Four Years Plus Edward Crosson

It's about my last nine years, the first four was life-threatening. I shall call it 'The Nap', because I woke up from taking a nap, but into having a stroke. I didn't realized how serious it was, but my left side weaken, my speak slurred & my left hip was hurting. Eventually, I had to replace it. While waiting for my Social Security case that was pending, I'd stayed with my brother & his wife. Then with a friend of mine, which turned out to be a nightmare. This was after he'd moved. I volunteered to stay at a shelter, because it was so bad at the other place. After two months, I was transferred to a group home. There were felons, alcoholics, drug addicts, etc. but I got along with everybody. Finally, I'd won my case, after waiting 13 months & moved. I got room, but it smelled around the place & my neighbors was just as bad. Had to stay there for little over 4 years, because of my credit rating. Even joined Scientology, cause I was feeling depressed about everything that so far was happening to me. Here I was a union electrician & now I was living like this. But I went to my Union about my Pension, I'd found out that the other Pension I also get from MD, owed me money from 5 years & I would also get a monthly account. I would stayed in B'klyn, but now I was officially retired now. I still make my doctor's appointments. I have too, because the stroke damaged my brain & I got Arthritis. I have to be careful walking, go up & down stairs, getting on & off buses, just walking without a cane.
